WhAt is A #BossMama?
A #BossMama doesn't have it all together. She is not effortless. She is not carefree. Everything she does is not Pinterest worthy.
But she manages. She manages all the chaos. The chaos of raising a family in the 21st century, maintaining marital and social relationships, working in and/or outside the home, staving off the unrealistic pressures of social media while still being able to be awesome at her own thing. She is doing it... maybe not doing it ALL, but she's doing it. And that's the kind of mama I'm here for.
My name is Ashley, and I am a #BossMama. My husband A.J. and I met in 2010 at our alma mater, the University of Central Oklahoma, and had a whirlwind relationship that perfectly fit both our personalities at the time. We finally grew out of that stage of our lives and were married in 2014. I am a stay-at-home mother with three sons:: Oliver {2012}, Maverick {2015} and Reeve {2017}. My primary role is, of course, managing the chaos:: Supporting my husband in his job and maintaining a "healthy" marriage {whatever that means}, juggling the schedules, needs and personalities of the boys, keeping our dogs {Hendrix and Luna} and turtles {Mitch and Rexy} alive, cooking and eating well, working out, finding time to sift through my own internal struggles and managing to use my skills for my passion in my freelance work. It can be a lot. It IS a lot!
In the end, things don't always go according to plan... and that's when you tap into being a #bossmama.
My marriage may not have survived everything thrown its way, but I damn sure will.
How does a #BossMama handle it all? How does a #BossMama find the strength to stay afloat, keep her crew on point, make moves when all feels lost?
She finds other #BossMamas for support. Mamas who will share their stories and how they manage the chaos. Mamas who have been there, done allathat, been the driver of the Struggle Bus a time or two.
People are quick to share negativity and critiques but shy way from sharing motivation and advice.
As a #BossMama, it is my privilege and duty to share with other mamas! What works and does not work for me, what I've done to survive it all, my failures and challenges along with my triumphs. What started as a YouTube channel is now a full-blown blog in pursuit of connection, support, love and a little know-how!
Let's do this. Together.
